In 2022, the watch industry has seen a surge of new entrants, both in terms of factories and timepieces. Many previously unknown factories have now joined the fray, particularly in the production of Rolex look-alikes. With so many choices available, it’s crucial to exercise caution, as not every watch is a worthwhile investment. Some websites have even attempted to market pieces under the "Noob" label, which is quite misleading. If you're in this market, finding a trustworthy dealer is of utmost importance.

Introducing the Richard Mille RM27-02
Today, I want to highlight a new timepiece available in the market, the Richard Mille RM27-02, crafted by the RM factory. More manufacturers are now producing Richard Mille interpretations; among the pioneers are KV and ZF, known for their popularity. While EUR and JB focus on tourbillon models, this new RM seems to be a fresh player, as I hadn’t come across them before.

Design and Material Insights
This release consists of nine variants, each with unique dial colors and bands. Constructed from carbon, the material differentiates itself from the carbon seen in the RM35-02 by ZF, where the texture appears more pronounced. The authentic RM27-02 utilizes quartz fiber for its case, and remarkably, the replica’s case material closely mimics this, though the exact process by RM factory remains a mystery. The bezel features eight screws, complemented by four on the case back, totaling twelve titanium-made, snowflake-shaped screws that ensure the case is securely assembled. Additionally, if the color of the rubber crown cap isn’t to your liking, it can be replaced with a different one.

Movement and Features
The skeleton dial is a standout feature, providing a clear view of the movement’s intricate components. Multiple supports hold the movement steadily within the case frame. A genuine tourbillon can be seen at 6 o’clock, while the movement’s barrel is positioned at 12 o’clock, boasting a claimed 52-hour power reserve. Two band options are available: velcro and rubber. Given the complexity of tourbillon movements, the pricing aligns with the high standards typical of Richard Mille watches.

Practical Considerations
In conclusion, it’s advisable to avoid wearing this timepiece while swimming or engaging in rigorous activities, as it lacks shock resistance and isn’t waterproof.
