Hello everyone, I've just returned from a brief New Year holiday. I spent several hours on a train yesterday and am still feeling a bit off. As for the watch manufacturers, some have resumed operations, while most are still on break and won't be back until February 6th. If you have urgent orders, it's wise to inform your dealers now since many orders have piled up over the holiday. Once the factories resume, processing will take some time, so early placement is advantageous.
Design and Build Quality
The first watch I want to highlight is a golden Panerai from the Submersible line, measuring 44mm rather than the usual 47mm. The replica has a thickness of 15mm and is crafted by VS Factory, also referred to as SBF (SoBoring Factory). This factory now uses the name SB for its new Panerai replicas, possibly as a strategy to reduce risk.
Distinctive Features
This particular Panerai, reference PAM 1070, resembles rose gold but presents a unique golden hue. It boasts a golden case paired with a forged carbon bezel and is accompanied by a black rubber strap suited for diving. Additionally, VS provides an extra nylon strap at no extra cost, which is a nice touch. The fusion design concept seen in Hublot watches appears to have inspired this Panerai PAM 1070.
Movement and Dial Details
VS Factory has consistently impressed with their Panerai replicas, dominating the market and deterring other manufacturers from entering this niche. The rose gold case displays a brushed finish, as does the crown bridge, though the brushing is more pronounced on the bridge. The bezel's forged carbon material closely mimics that of the authentic watch, though differences remain due to the unique nature of carbon.
The watch features a black dial with a sunken small-second subdial in gray, contrasting sharply with the black backdrop. The sunburst finish on the dial is noticeable but lacks the refinement of the original. The skeleton hands at the center are coated with white luminescence, while the gold on the hands and hour markers leans more towards yellow gold than rose gold.
Value Assessment
The watch has a solid case back, a feature all recent Panerai replicas share, showcasing a symbol and OP number. Personally, I prefer a see-through crystal back. The small OP logo engraved on one of the lugs adds a distinctive touch. Within the case lies a super clone P.900 movement, one of the earliest and most reliable super clone P series movements from VS Factory. Panerai replicas with these movements generally face minimal issues. I'm very fond of this Panerai's design; it excites me just like the first time I encountered a full forged carbon Panerai years ago.
