After a long anticipation, the Rolex GMT-Master II Sprite model's replica is now accessible. The Rolex GMT-Master II Sprite is notable for two key features. Firstly, it boasts a black and green ceramic bezel. The quality of this bezel is crucial in distinguishing between lower and higher-end replicas. In my view, Clean Factory excels in producing ceramic bezels, especially evident in the Submariner 116610LV Hulk, where the green hue closely matches the original. For the GMT-Master II, particularly the Sprite model, the transition between the black and green on the bezel is critical. Many manufacturers falter here, but Clean gets it right, as seen in both this model and previous GMT-Master II Batman editions. Secondly, the watch features a crown on the left side of the case, designed for left-handed users. It's rare to see left-handed models from Rolex, making this a distinctive choice for wearers on either wrist, adding a touch of style.
Build Quality and Materials
Clean manufactures this GMT-Master II Sprite using genuine 904L stainless steel. The case measures 40mm in diameter with a thickness of 12.1mm, crafted entirely from 904L stainless steel, including the bracelet. This new Rolex GMT-Master model features a crown logo situated between “SWISS” and “MADE.” Additionally, there is a subtle laser-engraved crown logo on the sapphire crystal at the 6 o'clock position, visible from certain angles.
Movement and Performance
This replica is powered by a clone 3285 automatic movement, featuring the correct hand stack. No manufacturers have yet developed a custom-made or super clone 3186 or 3285 movement, but the existing clone 3285 offers the same functionality as the authentic version. It's likely that a factory will eventually create a custom or super clone 3285 movement, potentially Clean or VS.
