For those seeking 36mm and 41mm Datejust models, GM factory offers the best variety. When it comes to the GMT-Master II and Daytona, Clean is the go-to. Although some may mention BT for Daytona, I believe they don't produce the finest version, despite having an extensive collection.
GMT-Master II Production
A multitude of factories produce GMT-Master II replicas, including Clean, C+F, GS, GM, VR, and EW. Notably, C+F is a newcomer with a name strikingly similar to Clean, potentially to confuse buyers, and their GMT-Master II replicas are priced steeply. Despite the variety, I recommend Clean, GM, and VR due to their extensive experience with GMT-Master II models.
Design and Model Variations
This two-tone GMT-Master II, reference 116713LN, debuted from Clean in July. Initially unnoticed, it was later discovered through a dealer's social media. Despite its unique style, it lacks the popularity of models like the Batman or Root Beer. While I advocate for Clean, GM, and VR for GMT-Master II replicas, none have yet achieved perfection. However, other Rolex models, such as the Rolex Submariner 116610LV from Clean and the Explorer II 226570 V4 from GM, are considered exemplary.
Movement and Features
The watch houses the clone 3186 movement, utilized by many factories like GM, GS, and VR. While it mirrors the functions and appearance of the genuine article, it doesn't give Clean a distinct edge. The clone 3186 has been around for years without significant advancements. Previously, Noob invested heavily in enhancing their Rolex models and movements, but they have since ceased operations.
The real strength of Clean lies in their bezel craftsmanship. The ceramic bezel color closely resembles the authentic model, and on versions like the Batman and Sprite, the color transition is perfectly positioned—a critical aspect for bi-color bezel GMT-Masters.
It is my hope that Clean dedicates more resources to thoroughly researching the genuine GMT-Master II, aiming to enhance their replicas. Compared to Noob, Clean invests less in refining their watches, but there is potential for growth.
