Reintroduction of a Classic
The Panerai PAM 217, much like its counterpart PAM 127, enjoys significant popularity due to its classic design, reminiscent of earlier Panerai models. Though both models had previously ceased production, they are now back on the market. The current production of the PAM 127 and 217 is handled by the XF factory. Previously, PAM 127 replicas were crafted by several manufacturers including ZF, XF, and Noob, while the PAM 217 was exclusively produced by Noob. After a period of unavailability, the PAM 217 is now made by XF, delighting enthusiasts who favor a left-handed design.

Distinguishing Features
The PAM 217 is notable for two primary characteristics. The most striking is its left-side crown bridge, making it ideal for right-hand wearers. Another hallmark is its domed sapphire crystal, which is a shared feature with the PAM 127. This true domed crystal enhances the watch's vintage appeal.

Robust Dimensions
This model is a sizable piece, boasting a 47mm case diameter. Consistent with many Panerai Submersible models, the PAM 217 is notably thick, with a case height reaching 17.5mm, surpassing the thickness of many Panerai Submersible replicas by VS factory.

Dial and Movement
The watch features a black dial under the domed sapphire crystal, with a sandwiched structure. A small seconds subdial is located at 3 o’clock, and the hour markers are skeletonized, with prominent Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12, contributing to its classic look. In low light, the hands and hollow hour markers emit a vivid green lume. The see-through case back reveals the intricately decorated manual-winding 6497 movement.

The XF-produced PAM 217 comes with a black leather strap, and the ease of changing bands adds an element of personalization that many Panerai owners enjoy.
