Ordering time from the VS factory has become quicker, with models like the Submariner and Datejust available within a week. However, for Panerai and Omega Seamaster from VS, a longer wait after ordering is still expected. Since early 2022, VS factory has only released a few new models, which initially went unnoticed. However, the recent launch of two forged carbon Rolex Submariner models caught my immediate attention. Although it’s not the first time I've seen forged carbon Rolex watches, I was surprised that VS chose to produce these instead of focusing on their in-demand Panerai and Omega lines. Could this signal an increased focus on Rolex by VS in the future?
Design and Build Quality
The Rolex Submariner replicas from VS factory are crafted from high-quality forged carbon, resulting in a case, bezel, and case back that are considerably lighter than their stainless steel counterparts. The specifications align closely with the stainless steel Submariner 116610LV from VS, featuring a 40mm diameter and 12.5mm thickness, almost matching the original. The forged carbon texture on these watches surpasses what you typically see on other replicas, offering a more authentic appearance.
Dial and Movement Details
The black carbon dial includes a "DiW" marking above the 6:00 position, indicating it mimics a custom model from DiW. The inner bezel, or rehaut, features correct engravings, but not every piece aligns the crown logo perfectly with the triangle marker and 60-minute scale. Therefore, careful selection is recommended. The dial is safeguarded by a sapphire crystal with a tiny crown logo at 6 o’clock, visible in the fifth image. Powered by a clone 3135 automatic movement from VS factory, it stands as a leading super clone 3135 movement available for Submariners.
Additional Features and Value
The watch's strong, enduring lume is notable, with blue luminescence on the bezel and dial, while the crown logo and three dots are also illuminated, adding to its distinctiveness. Although pricier than the stainless steel version, the quality construction by the VS factory makes it a worthy choice for fans of the forged carbon aesthetic.
