In our watch market, Omega stands as the second top-selling brand, just behind Rolex. This is largely due to the popularity of its Seamaster diver’s watches. In 2020, various factories introduced some iconic Omega models, many of which originated from the VS factory. Here, I will present the top ten Omega models that are leading the sales charts. This guide is designed to assist those in search of high-quality Omega timepieces.
Design and Build Quality
1. VSF Seamaster Diver 300m Black
Released in May 2019, this model has been a bestseller for two consecutive years. Crafted by the VS factory, the watch's latest iteration is now at version V2. It features a stainless steel 42mm case with a thickness of just 13mm. The watch comes with a stainless steel bracelet, though a black rubber strap is also available. The transparent back showcases a beautifully replicated 8800 movement with decorative plates and a rotor. Although the OM factory also produces this model, VS maintains its pricing despite the competition.
2. VSF Planet Ocean 43.5mm Blue
While its high ranking might be surprising to some, this Omega model deserves its place in the top ten. Originating from the VS factory, it features a quality finish typical of VS creations. The OM factory also offers similar Omega Planet Ocean watches, but they often reduce their prices due to competition, which is why I generally recommend VS for these models.
Movement and Features
3. VSF Seamaster 007 No Time To Die
Although the release of its corresponding movie has been postponed until April 2021, the Seamaster watch designed for it is already available. The top model comes from the VS factory, which is now in its fourth version. Initially using 316F stainless steel, the latest version corrects this by using solid titanium. The mesh bracelet has been upgraded, and a free NATO strap is included.
4. VSF Planet Ocean 45.5mm Deep Black
When it comes to Omega Planet Ocean models with ceramic cases and bezels, this watch is highly regarded. It boasts a 45.5mm case and is 17mm thick, making it an ideal choice for fans of larger diver’s watches. The watch features a special Zr02 ceramic material on the dial, lending it a high-gloss finish. The black rubber band is made from premium imported natural rubber, and the clasp is also ceramic. If you prefer a bold all-black timepiece, this model is a great option.
Value Assessment
5. VSF Aqua Terra 150m Blue
This is an excellent model from the VS factory. The Aqua Terra is designed for those who enjoy a sporty watch that can accompany a business suit. With a 41mm diameter case, comparable to the newest Rolex 126610 Submariner, it has a thickness of 13.5mm. The super clone 8900 automatic movement is impressive, and the factory offers an additional blue rubber strap at no extra cost.
6. VSF Seamaster Diver 300m Rose Gold Blue
The original watch was introduced by Omega in 2019, with its VS factory counterpart arriving in 2020. This stunning model features a 42mm rose gold case and a blue ceramic bezel. The blue wavy dial is also ceramic, and both the hands and markers are filled with luminous coating. The timepiece is powered by a clone 8801 movement.
7. VSF Seamaster Diver 300m Blue
This blue model, akin to the black version, remains a crowd favorite. Released by the VS factory in 2019, it continues to sell well. The latest version is V2, and while its quality is impeccable, it's essential to request meticulous quality checks from dealers as some units may have misaligned markers.
8. VSF Planet Ocean 39.5mm Black
Of the Planet Ocean stainless steel variants, this is my preferred choice. From the VS factory, it features a stainless steel case and bracelet. The 39.5mm case diameter is similar to that of the 40mm Submariner, making it a popular choice for men. The classic combination of a black ceramic bezel and black dial is timeless. Despite being a recent release in October 2020, it quickly became a bestseller.
