The KW Factory, established by Turkish watch enthusiasts in Guangzhou, China, has made a name for itself by producing high-quality Panerai timepiece replications. Among their creations is the PAM 438, modeled meticulously after the authentic version. Unlike the ceramic PAM 441 I covered earlier, the PAM 438 is a complete ceramic piece. This model is crafted to replicate the genuine article with remarkable precision, making it hard to spot any discrepancies.
Design and Build Quality
Upon handling the watch, its weight, approximately 115g, is noticeable, though its ceramic construction ensures it is lighter than its stainless steel counterparts. Ceramic offers numerous benefits, including a refined texture, resistance to scratches, and color stability. With a case diameter of 44mm, similar to the PAM 441, the PAM 438 features a screw-down bezel, case head, and case back, allowing for easy dial cleaning.
Movement and Features
The watch boasts sapphire crystals on both the front and back, offering excellent hardness and scratch resistance. The dial remains legible under sunlight, with its black hue complementing the ceramic case. Employing a classic sandwich structure, the dial's upper layer is cut out, revealing a luminous material beneath, giving the hour markers a three-dimensional appearance.

The PAM 438 replica watch houses a black movement, the P.9001/B. To achieve an all-black aesthetic, Panerai developed this specialized movement. The KW Factory replicated this using a Shanghai 7750, with DLC-coated bridges, making the P.9001/B one of the most visually appealing movements among Panerai replicas.
